Dhulikhel Namobuddha Day Hike

The Dhulikhel-Namobuddha day trek is a short trip that brings you to the little tourist town of Dhulikhel. It is 1550 meters above sea level. It lies on the Araniko Highway, 30 kilometers southwest of Kathmandu. The old temples and homes in Dhulikhel are what the town is most famous for. People from different groups, such as Newar, Brahmins, Tamang, Chhetris, and Dalits, live here. At 8:00 am, we travel for an hour to Dhulikhel, then climb for four hours to Namobuddha, and return to the guesthouse in the late afternoon, around 4:00–5:00 pm.

Namo Buddha, a place of pilgrimage, is situated around 40 kilometers (25 miles) from the center of Kathmandu. The Kavre District is located in the southeast part of the valley. Namobuddha is a very well-known historic monastery. The area is quite clean and peaceful. There is no pollution in the area, and the natural air is so fresh, cold, and healthful. The land is somewhat higher up, at 1750 m. Namo Buddha is a sacred location for Buddhists because it is associated with a particular Buddhist story of King Mahasattva giving his body to a hungry tigress at this same spot. You may witness lovely terraced fields on the

Way to Namo Buddha, which cultivates rice, mustard, and millet. The Dhulikhel Namobuddha day walk is a beautiful opportunity to see the prominent Buddhist monuments in Nepal while getting away from the noise and bustle of the city. The best part of this climb is the stunning views of the mountains and the many Buddhist stupas at the top. Namo Buddha is also known for its rice, mustard, and millet, and the stroll lets you see the picturesque hillside next to the farmhouses. Even if you only have one day in Nepal for adventurous activities, a day trek around Kathmandu would be a terrific way to spend that time.

Day 01:

The first thing you do on your journey is travel from Kathmandu to the old town of Dhulikhel in the morning. The trip is around 40 kilometers (25 miles) long and takes you through gorgeous valleys and traditional Nepalese scenery. When you reach there, you'll start a lovely trip through terraced fields and quiet woods to the holy pilgrimage site of Namobuddha. This well-known Buddhist stupa has many stories to tell and wonderful views of the Himalayas' foothills. It's a terrific spot to connect with your spiritual side and enjoy the outdoors at the same time.

The highlands of Kavre District are home to Namobuddha, a well-known Buddhist pilgrimage site. Myth says that a young prince who was the previous incarnation of Buddha sacrificed his body to a hungry tigress and her pups. An antique stupa with prayer flags and a stone carving representing the sacrifice recalls this very generous gesture. People from all over the world come to view it and look for answers. The Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery sits on the property. There are calm places with vistas of the Himalayas that continue forever, where monks study and contemplate. Namobuddha is a peaceful place to ponder and learn about Buddhism. It is not far from Kathmandu and has a lot of
spiritual significance.

After seeing the historic stupa and taking in the peaceful surroundings, you'll travel back to Kathmandu through picturesque Tamang villages and lush countryside. This day trip is a terrific chance to see Nepal's gorgeous scenery and learn about its rich culture. It provides a unique experience that incorporates mild exercise, spiritual growth, and beautiful vistas, all of which are simple to access from the capital city.

Everyone who isn't Indian needs a visa to get into Nepal. Most people from other countries can get an on-arrival visa, which is good news. You will need a passport-size photo, visa costs (USD 50 for a 30-day stay), and a passport that is valid for at least six months to get an on-arrival visa. Go to the immigration website https://www.immigration.gov.np/ to find out the most up-to-date visa rules. Please be aware that people from some countries cannot get an on-arrival visa. Citizens of SAARC and China can acquire free visas, although there are certain rules.

Changing Money

The official money of Nepal is the Nepali Rupee (NPR). 1 USD is around 130 NPR. Banks and money exchanges will let you trade most foreign currencies. To avoid excessive bank costs and long processing times, we suggest using legal money exchanges to swap funds. You may also get Nepali Rupees at ATMs in and around Kathmandu. You can take out up to NRs 35,000 from an ATM for a charge of Rs 500. Please note that only INR notes of 100 and 2,000 are authorized in Nepal. Nepali banks will not accept old, damaged, or faded foreign money. So, be sure to bring fresh, clean bills. You will need to exchange your foreign money inKathmandu because this service might not be available in other towns and cities. We think you will need between 20 to 25 US dollars a day to spend.
