How to choose

The overland route crosses into Tibet and uses a Chinese group visa; the Simikot route adds a trek through Humla; the helicopter tour shortens the journey from the Nepal side. The rules for 2027 depend on the Chinese authorities, so we promise nothing on quota or dates until they are announced. If you travel overland from Nepal, any existing Chinese visa in your passport is cancelled when the group visa is issued. When the Chinese authorities open the 2027 season. We will message everyone on our priority list as soon as dates and prices are confirmed.

Is there an age limit for Kailash?

The Chinese authorities have barred pilgrims over 70 from the overland group route. Ask us before you plan.

What happens to my Chinese visa?

On the overland route from Nepal you travel on a Chinese group visa, and any existing Chinese visa in your passport is cancelled.

How much is the deposit?

25% for Kailash and Tibet trips. If your plans change you can move the trip free to any date within a year; the deposit itself is not refunded if you cancel.
