How to choose

Chitwan in 6 days is the easy start: jeep safaris, canoe trips and birding at first and last light. The 12-day trip adds Bardiya, the wilder park in the far west, and the sacred sites of Lumbini. For mountains, the Everest helicopter photography tour gives you the high peaks from the air and at a landing. Our Chitwan and Bardiya trips use jeeps, dugout canoes and walks with naturalists.

Questions people ask

When is the best light for photography in Nepal?

October and November give the clearest air for mountains. For wildlife in Chitwan and Bardiya, the drier months from February to May make animals easier to find.

Can I see tigers on a photography tour?

Tigers live in Chitwan and Bardiya, but sightings are never guaranteed. Rhinos, deer and many birds are seen on most days.

What camera gear should I bring?

A zoom of at least 300 mm for wildlife, a wide lens for mountains, spare batteries and a dust cover. Charging is available at the lodges.

How do I book and pay?

A 10% deposit holds your dates and the rest is paid when you arrive in Kathmandu, in US dollars or euros, cash or card (card adds 3.5%). If your plans change you can move the trip free to any date within a year; the deposit itself is not refunded if you cancel.
