Pokhara Bungee Jump Highlights

  • 83-metre bungee jump from a custom-built tower at Hemja, 25 minutes from Pokhara Lakeside
  • One of the highest tower-bungees in South Asia, designed and certified by a New Zealand jump engineer
  • All gear maintained on a fixed inspection schedule: harness, ankle straps, bungee cord retired on certified jump-count, padded landing recovery
  • Optional swing instead of jump for participants who want the height without the head-first drop
  • Pick-up from Pokhara Lakeside, jump and recovery, certificate and optional GoPro footage on USB
  • Same-day return to Pokhara; can be combined with paragliding for a full adrenaline day

Why I built this trek the way I did

I am Shreejan, the founder of The Everest Holiday. The bungee at Hemja was built to international standards by a New Zealand jump engineer, which is the only kind of bungee I work with. There is one other major bungee in Nepal at Bhote Koshi near the Tibet border, and that one is also certified, but the drive is six hours each way which kills the practicality. Hemja is 25 minutes from Pokhara, which makes it the bungee for travellers who are already in town.

The equipment maintenance schedule is the part most clients do not ask about. We work only with the certified operator. Their cord is retired by jump count, their harness inspection is logged, and their landing recovery system is rated for the drop weight. Other adventure activities in Nepal sometimes cut corners on certification, and bungee is the activity where that matters most.

Every booking helps fund the teacher's salary at our Nagarjun Learning Center in Saldum, where 70 children get free education out of my own pocket.

Overview

Looking for the ultimate adrenaline rush in Nepal? Bungee jumping in Pokhara with The Everest Holiday is the perfect way to test your courage while taking in some of the most wide natural scenery the country has to offer.

Located at the HighGround Bungee Station in Hemja, just a short drive from Pokhara's Lakeside, this 80-meter tower bungee jump delivers a heart-pounding freefall into a deep river gorge — surrounded by the mighty Annapurna Himalayas, lush green hills, and the shimmering Phewa Lake in the distance.

Unlike bungee jumps in big cities where you only see concrete and skyscrapers, the Pokhara bungee experience is uniquely scenic. As you take the leap, you'll be greeted by panoramic views of mountains, forests, and rivers — making the jump as visually wild as it is thrilling. Depending on the water level in the gorge below, lucky jumpers may even touch or dip into the water before bouncing back up.

The Hemja Bungee Tower is built and operated to international safety standards, using premium HighGround-certified bungee cords, full-body harness systems, and trained jump masters with years of experience. Whether it's your first jump or your hundredth, you'll be guided through every step — from gear-up to the final leap.
