Kathmandu Pokhara Yoga Tour in 8 Days: How It Runs and What It Costs (2027)
Last updated 16 October 2026.
Short answer: Our Kathmandu Pokhara Yoga Tour, 8 days gives you sunrise yoga at the Shanti Stupa, at Sarangkot and at Australian Camp above Pokhara, a lake walk and boat ride, a free day and the drive back to Kathmandu. It costs USD 1,075 per person on Budget, USD 1,430 on Standard and USD 2,575 on Luxury for two to four people. It suits anyone who wants mountain views, gentle walking and daily practice, with no hard trekking.
I am Shreejan. This is the slow way to see Pokhara: early yoga where the light is best, a little walking, and time to rest. Here is how it runs.
How do the eight days run?
| Day | Plan |
|---|---|
| 1 | Arrive in Kathmandu, meet your guide |
| 2 | Drive to Pokhara by tourist bus, about 7 to 8 hours |
| 3 | Sunrise yoga at the Shanti Stupa (1,100 m), a walk by Phewa Lake and a boat ride |
| 4 | Sunrise yoga at Sarangkot (1,600 m), with optional paragliding |
| 5 | Yoga at Australian Camp (2,060 m) and a walk through Dhampus village |
| 6 | A free day in Pokhara |
| 7 | A last session and the drive back to Kathmandu |
| 8 | Departure |
Paragliding on day 4 is your choice and is paid separately. Our paragliding package shows the price.
What does it cost?
| Group size | Budget | Standard | Luxury |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 person | USD 1,880 | USD 2,360 | USD 4,710 |
| 2 to 4 people | USD 1,075 | USD 1,430 | USD 2,575 |

Prices are per person, read from our booking system on 16 October 2026. The full price list for every group size is on the trip page.
Budget gives you hotels with breakfast only and local transport. Standard gives you comfortable tourist-standard hotels with all meals and a shared tourist vehicle. Luxury gives you luxury hotels with all meals and private transport.
Included on every tier: airport pick-up and drop-off, transport between Kathmandu and Pokhara, your yoga tour guide throughout, a licensed guide on the Dhampus day, the Annapurna Conservation Area permit and TIMS card for that day, a first aid kit with an oximeter, a SIM card on arrival, luggage storage and a farewell dinner. Not included: flights, visa, insurance, paragliding, tips and personal spending.
What permits do you need?
Australian Camp and Dhampus are inside the Annapurna Conservation Area, so day 5 needs the ACAP permit (NPR 3,000, or NPR 1,000 for SAARC citizens) and a TIMS card (NPR 2,000, or NPR 1,000 for SAARC). Both are included.
When is the best time?
| Months | What to expect |
|---|---|
| October and November | Clear mornings with the Annapurnas sharp across the lake |
| December to February | Cold sunrises, quiet and clear; bring warm layers |
| March to May | Warm, with spring flowers; some haze by afternoon |
| June to September | Monsoon rain and cloud; sessions move indoors when needed |
Do you need yoga experience?
No. Sessions suit beginners and regular practitioners. Tell us your level when you book so the sessions fit you. Bring your own mat if you like one; we can also arrange one.
Is it safe for solo women?
Yes. Many of our yoga guests travel alone, and your guide is with you every day. Read our guide for solo women in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
What insurance do you need?
The highest point is Australian Camp at 2,060 m, so a normal travel policy with medical treatment and evacuation that covers walking to 2,500 m is enough. Buy it at home before you travel. We do not recommend insurance bought in Nepal.
