Why I built it this way
Pokhara has more adventure packed into a small space than anywhere else in Nepal, and most people try to fit it into one rushed day. I built this tour so you get the three things I would pick, in the right order, without the rush: the Sarangkot sunrise, a tandem paragliding flight from the same hill, and the bungee jump, with the lake and the waterfalls in between.
The flight is on the morning of day 2, which leaves day 3 spare if the wind or rain stops it. The jump is on day 3. If you only want one of them, our paragliding guide and bungee guide pages sell them on their own. Read Pokhara Adventure Activities Compared: Paragliding, Bungee, Zipline and What to Book First if you are deciding which to do first.
It starts and ends in Pokhara, so it fits neatly before or after a trek. We can book your flight or tourist bus from Kathmandu. Every booking helps pay the teacher's salary at our Nagarjun Learning Center in Saldum. The Everest Holiday is a family company founded in 2016, from three generations of guiding in the Himalayas.
Best time to go, month by month
These notes come from our guides and our Pokhara blogs. They are not forecasts, and the activities run on the day only when the weather is safe.
| Month | What it is like | My verdict |
|---|---|---|
| January | Cool, clear mornings and cold nights. Mountain views are often sharp. Paragliding flights are shorter in the weaker thermals. | Good |
| February | Clear and dry, warming up by the end of the month. | Good |
| March | Warm days, haze building by the afternoon. Good flying. | Good |
| April | Warm and busy. Haze often hides the mountains after mid morning. | Good, start early |
| May | Hot and humid before the monsoon, with storms in the afternoon. | Possible |
| June | The monsoon starts. Flights and the bungee often stop for rain. | Not recommended |
| July | Monsoon. Heavy rain, low cloud, most flights cancelled. | No |
| August | Monsoon. Heavy rain, low cloud. Davis Falls is at its fullest. | No |
| September | The rains ease in the second half and the air clears. | Late September |
| October | Clear skies and the best flying of the year. Busy, so we book the activity slots early. | Best |
| November | Dry, clear and calm. Excellent views from Sarangkot. | Best |
| December | Cool and clear. Some crosswinds in the afternoon. | Good |
October and November give the clearest skies and the best flying. Activities run only in safe weather, and the spare time in the plan is there for that.
Starting dates for 2027
This trip runs on any dates you choose. These are the windows I would pick for 2027. Festival dates are the expected ones from public calendars and are confirmed each year.
| Window in 2027 | What to expect | My advice |
|---|---|---|
| January to February 2027 | Cool and clear, quiet in Pokhara. | Good |
| March to May 2027 (Holi expected 22 to 23 March) | Warm and busy. Morning views, haze by afternoon, storms in May. | Good in March and April |
| June to mid September 2027 | Monsoon. Flights and the bungee often stop for rain. | No |
| Mid September to December 2027 (Dashain expected 6 to 10 October, Tihar 29 to 31 October, not yet announced) | Clear skies and the best flying weeks. Book early around the festivals. | Best |
We confirm each activity slot the day before, according to the weather.
Permits and costs
No trekking permit is needed. We pay the entrance fees for the sites on the plan.
| Permit or fee | Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Trekking permit or TIMS card | None | Not needed in Pokhara |
| Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, World Peace Pagoda | Small entry fees | Included |
The price per person falls as the group grows, and a child pays the same as an adult. Private or group, the price per person is the same. Here is the full table. These prices hold for 2027.
| Group size | Budget | Standard | Luxury |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 guest (solo) | USD 655 | USD 905 | USD 1,345 |

| 5 to 8 guests | USD 310 | USD 455 | USD 650 |

| 13 to 20 guests | USD 260 | USD 395 | USD 575 |
Not included: international flights, your Nepal visa (USD 30 for 15 days or USD 50 for 30 days, paid in cash on arrival), Kathmandu hotel nights, travel insurance, tips, personal spending and any extra porter (USD 25 per day plus 13% VAT and the 3.5% bank charge). You pay a 10% deposit to book and the balance in Kathmandu. We take US dollars or euros, in cash or by card, and card payments carry a 3.5% bank charge.
Getting there and getting back
The tour starts at Pokhara airport, the tourist bus park or your hotel. Pokhara is a 25-minute flight or about seven hours by tourist bus from Kathmandu. We can book either for you. All the driving on the tour is short: Sarangkot is 25 to 30 minutes from Lakeside and the bungee site about 25 minutes. We check road conditions 48 hours before departure. If a road is not open, we move your dates free of charge.
Visa on arrival is USD 30 for 15 days or USD 50 for 30 days, and your passport must be valid for at least six months.
Safety and altitude
Paragliding and bungee jumping run only in safe weather. If the wind or rain stops them, we move you to the next safe slot or another day of the trip. Tandem flights are flown by certified pilots, and the bungee team checks your weight, harness and footwear before every jump. You are never pushed to jump or fly.
Limits: the bungee is for ages 10 and over, between 35 and 125 kg, with closed shoes. Paragliding operators set a weight limit of about 100 kg. Tell us about any heart, back, neck or blood-pressure problem, or a pregnancy, before you book. Buy travel insurance at home that names paragliding and bungee jumping.
