Visit Muktinath, one of the great pilgrimage sites of Nepal, in a single day, without the long road journey. We collect you from your Pokhara hotel, you fly by helicopter north towards Muktinath with the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges around you, and you are back in Pokhara afterwards.
The helicopter is chartered for your group alone, up to four guests, on every option, so you never share with strangers. The price per person falls with each extra guest, up to four. The tour includes a landing, with up to about 1 hour on the ground, depending on the weather. The pilot makes the final call on the day, and if the weather stops a landing we tell you before you fly.
The temple is at about 3,800 m. It is sacred to Hindus and Buddhists: pilgrims bathe under the 108 water spouts, and the Jwala Mai flame burns beside a spring in the shrine. This is a day tour, not a trek, but you go from Pokhara at about 820 m to about 3,800 m in one flight with no time to acclimatise. Tell us about any heart, lung or blood-pressure condition before you book.
Damodar Kund, the remote pilgrimage lake beyond Muktinath, can be added for an extra charge per helicopter, with about 15 to 20 minutes on the ground there. Damodar Kund needs a licensed guide on board, so up to three guests can go. It also needs a special permit, USD 50 per person, on top of the Annapurna Conservation Area permit that is already included in your price. You must send passport copies at least 7 days before the flight. The extra is shown with the add-ons when you book.
The tour starts and ends in Pokhara. Your Pokhara hotel, and getting to Pokhara, are not included, but we can arrange both.
Every booking supports the Nagarjun Learning Center, our school in Saldum. The Everest Holiday is a family company founded in 2016, from three generations of guiding in the Himalayas.
