On the Nepalese side of Mount Everest, Khumbu is an area located in northeastern Nepal. It's a part of Koshi Pradesh, namely the Solukhumbu District. Solu and Pharak are the other two subregions that make up the main Kirat Kulung and Sherpa settlement of the Himalaya, together with Khumbu.
