You can catch up with the locals and learn about their traditions and culture, visit sites of religious reverence such as Pungyen Gompa, or visit the beautiful Birendra Tal.

Fewer Crowd: If you have been on the popular trails in the Everest region, or the Annapurna region, you will know that the routes can get crowded, especially in the peak season. However, the Manaslu Circuit Trek allows trekkers to travel in peace with fewer crowds. Immerse in the beauty of the region and enjoy the solitude the trek provides.

Manaslu Circuit Trek Permit and Cost

The Manaslu Circuit Trek allows travelers to enjoy the solitude of the Himalayas. This once-in-a-lifetime trek takes you on a transformative encounter that requires you to challenge numerous obstacles. However, the accomplishment of this strenuous trek gives you an equally rewarding experience.

To take on this challenge, you will need the following permits. Find details below:

Manaslu Restricted Area Permit (MRAP): The Manaslu Restricted Area Permit is the primary permit to get into the region. The price depends on the season. Likewise, from September to November, the permit fee costs NRS 1000 (Approx USD 100), and you’ll be charged an extra NRS 1500 (Approx USD 15) for each additional day.

14-day Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal: Alternative Trekking Trails

The Manaslu Circuit Trek is an extensive journey that takes you to the heart of the Manaslu region. This 14-day trek is fit for adventure seekers as you will be required to trek to high elevations through strenuous trails.

However, if you are seeking a more relaxed and shorter trek in the Manaslu region, you can take on the Manaslu Base Camp Trek, or the Tsum Valley Trek. Similar to the Manaslu Circuit Trek, both these treks take you along the off-the-beaten-path trails and introduce you to the diverse landscape of the region.

Alternatively, you can also take on the more popular Everest Circuit Trek, or the Annapurna Circuit Trek if you have 2 weeks to spend in the Himalayas. These trails introduce you to the breathtaking Himalayan views and also give you a sneak peek into the lifestyle of the local tribes.

With the Everest Holidays, you can customize your treks. We design tailor-made itineraries that best suit your requirements. To customize your trek, call us now, and our team will assist you with your queries.

Best Time to Embark on Manaslu Circuit Trek 14 Days

The spring months from March to May is the best time to complete the Manaslu Circuit Trek. During these months, you will find mild weather with lesser precipitation. The trails are filled with wildflowers, lush vegetation, and stunning rhododendron forests. Like spring, autumn is equally fascinating. The autumn foliage takes over giving the landscape vibrant hues of orange, and red from September to November. Also, the weather is pleasant, but the nights can be chilly. During both seasons, you will get stunning views of the mountains and enjoy a comfortable trek in the Manaslu region.

The summer/monsoon season from June to August isn’t a favorable time to go on the Manaslu Circuit Trek. You will encounter slippery trains with risks of landslides. The vegetation is lush and gives travelers a fresh perspective of the region. If you like to take in the beautiful views of the snow-capped mountains then December to February is an ideal time. However, winter treks are recommended only for seasoned trekkers as you will need preparation and professional trekking gear.
