Namche Bazaar Trek takes you to the proven land marveling with alluring beauty of towering snowy peaks including world highest Mount Everest, rolling hills, glaciated lakes as well as settlement of ethnic Sherpa community ingrained to Tibetan Buddhism culture and renowned for stamina, strength and taken as life savior for expedition of whole world who dares to climb to high peaks of Nepal.

The Namche Bazaar Trek begins from Lukla after a scary but scenic flight to Lukla from Kathmandu, following the path that is trodden by almost 40,000 enthusiast trekkers and adventurers every year and crossing windy suspension bridges festooned with colored prayer flags that weave the undulating muddied trails and stony steps. Then incredible trek heads to Namche bazaar, a large town at the backdrop of mountains serving trekking gear, food items from local to western cuisine for trekkers and taken as the gateway for Mount Everest. It is also the best venue for acclimatization. Finally, Namche Bazar Trek offers a moment to stand at the shadow of the world's highest peak which is a dream of daring and adventurer of all corners of the world.

Apart from breathtaking glimpse of snow-covered Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, etc., Namche Bazzar Trek grants opportunity to delve pristine Tibetan Buddhism culture followed by local Sherpa community which they inherited from their forefathers blending with local people with friendly smile as well as exploring oldest Tyangboche monastery nestled highest altitude on place called Tyangboche and passing mani stones, stupas chortens during trek.

Itinerary Overview

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu airport and transfer to the hotel.

You will be warmly welcomed by our representative at Tribhuvan International Airport and transferred to the hotel by private vehicle.


Day 02:   Flight to Lukla airstrip to begin three hours’ trek to Phakding from Lukla.

After a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airstrip, the trek begins heading north from Lukla village trekking along the bank of Dudh Koshi river on the gradually sloppy trail passing through Ghat villages to reach Phakding; beautiful village encircled by snowcapped peaks and settled by culturally graceful Sherpa people.


Day 03:   Namche trekking for five hours from Phakding.

We cross Dudh Koshi river and walk on the easy path for short duration up to Monjo and Jorsale then climb steep uphill catching first glimpse of Everest to arrive at Namche Bazaar. We can explore several village monasteries spreading the message of love and peace through their fluttering prayer flags and in scripted stone walls on our way to Namche from Phakding.


Day 04:  Visit Everest View Point 

We leave Namche moving on a narrower and less paved path that runs through Khundde village and Khumte Village to visit a Buddhist monastery. We climb uphill to see Mount Everest and can stay at Everest view hotel from where we can see Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, etc. and after a short break, we return back to Namche to explore Namche Bazaar and rest.


Day 05:  Namche to Lukla

You will follow the Dudh Koshi trail back to Lukla, going up and down at a sweet pace. You can buy special souvenirs like the yak bell on your way back. The last evening will be spent among the amiable Sherpa sipping on a traditional drink chhyaang and enjoying the Sherpa dance in the lap of Himalayas.


Day 06: Flight Back to Kathmandu

If the weather condition if good, You take a flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla and it takes almost 30 minutes.

Cost Included

One professional guide and porter for the trek with all their food, accommodation, insurance and fees cost during the trek.

- A porter for every two guests who could carry total upto 20 kg and if only one guest then the guide would be single and would help carry upto 10 kg.

- Airfare bothways Ktm-Lukla- Ktm in a fixed wing aircraft.

- Airport pick up and drop off.

- Domestic flight ,equipments and first aid medical kits for nepali staffs.

- Sagarmatha ( Everest) National park) Entrance fee, TIMS ( Trekking Information Management System) Card and Pasang Lhamu rural municipality ( Namche) foreign trekkers fee.

- Rescue help if required.

Food

No meals are included on the cost but our staff and guide will help you get access to the best restaurants and hotels in Kathmandu and also help you get access to good organic and healthy meals during your trek. Our sister Agency Everest Trekkers Fuel is also the sole provider of freeze-dry trekking and climbing meals and can be provided to you with small Additional Cost.

Accomodation

You would recommend you accommodated at Nagarjun homestay with facilities of hot water, western toilets, electricity, television, free WIFI during Kathmandu stay. And recommend you to stay at teahouses with facilities granted by teahouses during a trek. But the cost does not include any accommodation. Our guide and staff will help you to get access to the best accommodation at the budget value.
