Mera peak at the elevation of 6476 meters from sea level is highest trekking peak of Nepal is suitable for trekkers with moderate mountaineering experience and good level fitness. Peak situated in the eastern border of Everest region could be summited taking gentle incline for the majority of trail.

Mera Peak summit not only offers eye catching glimpse of world’s top five 8000 meters above peak such as Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Chooyu and Everest but also awe inspiring vision of plains of Nepal that is glorified as one of the best views in the Himalayas.

Itinerary Overview

Day One: You will be warmly welcomed by our representative at Tribhuvan international airport and transferred to hotel.
Day Two: After exhilarating flight to Lukla airstrip, trek begins from Lukla moving to east for Chutanga passing through several tiny hamlets as well as thick forests.
Day Three: We cross Zatrawala pass climbing steep uphill and can enjoy stunning views of many mountains like Numbur himal, Kongdi Ri, Karyolang peak. Then we trek along flat trail for one and half hours to trek downhill finally to reach Zatrabok.
Day Four: We pass juniper, rhododendron forests trekking on steep downhill path with eye catching glimpse of Mera peak, Naulekhu peak and other snowy mountains.
Day Five: We leave Kothe trekking on gradual uphill trail that runs on bank of the river across Hinku valley. We arrive at Tangnang for overnight stay enjoying magnetic vision of several snowy mountains on the way.
Day Six: Rest day at Tangnang for acclimatization.
Day Seven: We continue our journey slightly climbing up along trail that leads to East from Tangnang Dig Kharka; close at the foot of the hinku nup glacier.
Day Eight: We head east following uphill trail through moraines then trek on steep ascending path to find ourselves at Khare for overnight stay.
Day Nine: Rest day at Khare for acclimatization and preparation for Mera peak climb.
Day Ten: We ascend steep up till we reach the crest of glacier then we will traverse a long flat on top of glacier as we make our way to the mera la pass.
Day Eleven: We trek on gradually upward trail covered by ice glacier perceiving breathtaking vision of Everest, Makalu, Baruntse, Kusum, Kangeru to reach Mera peak high camp.
Day Twelve: We climb high camp at elevation of 5800 meters. We catch the left turning route following easy angled snow slopes. We set up high camp for overnight stay.
Day Thirteen: We will summit the top of Mera peak following a snow-ridge just below the final wall that guards the top. We should spend huge effort to conquer last 50 meters of peak. Then we will descend to Khare retracing the same route.
Day Fourteen: We pass beautiful village Tangnang trekking on slightly descending trail crossing forests covered with fir, rhododendron and local vegetation to arrive at Kothe for overnight stay.
Day Fifteen: We proceed our journey along steep upward trail passing forests and green hills to reach Zatrabok consuming about six hours.
Day Sixteen: We trek on ascending trail to Zatrawala pass then follow downhill path to reach Chutanga.
Day Seventeen: Trek from Chutanga to Lukla consuming about four hours.
Day Eighteen: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu and takes about 35 minutes.

Cost Excluded

•Climbing permit fee:
US$ 350 for the group upto 4 people
US$ 350 + US$ 40 for the group of 1 to 5 people in a group
Apart from the climbing fee you have to pay US $ 300 as Sirdar's climbing and equipment fees. This is as per the rule of NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association).
•Deposit for Garbage Disposal fee is US$ 250 per peak for the group (this deposit is refundable to you after the completion of climb)

Food

You would be offered breakfast, nepali meal at homestay during time at Kathmandu while on trekking you would be provided Nepalese meals three times a day whereas during climbing fresh, hygienic food in terms of water and cooking method would be provided.  

Accomodation

 You would be accommodated at Nagarjun home stay with services of hot water, western toilets, electricity, television, free WIFI during Kathmandu stay whereas offered to stay at teahouses with facilities granted by teahouses during trek and you would be offered accommodation on along with sleeping bag and foam mattress during expedition.
