Tucked away in a remote corner, Tsum Valley is a hidden gem of Nepal. Converted to a trekking destination from a restricted region recently in 2008, it has been visited and loved by many trekkers since then. Apart from its thrilling exuberance, Tsum valley possesses a great holy significance, which is showcased by the numerous ancient monasteries, chortens, and Gompas.

The trek begins from Arughat, following the trail led by Budhi Khola. You will cross many rivers, like the Maccha Khola, Yaru Khola, and Soti Khola on your trek. As you make your way through forests and waterfalls, you enter the the lower Tsum valley through Chumling, and are greeted by a number of Monasteries. From the largest to the oldest, this trek covers most of the monasteries of the region, like the Mu Gompa, Rachen Gompa, etc. You then head back to AaruGhat through Philim and Jagat, and drive back to Kathmandu.

Tsum valley has a lot of unexplored depth to itself, which can be very satisfying to adventure seekers. Moreover, the natural beauty and long-held cultural heritage add to the already grand demeanor of Tsum Valley.
