Lobuche peak lying above the Lobuche village at Khumbu includes two distinct summits: Lobuche east and Lobuche west. Between two popular peak is Lobuche east that could be summited passing through renowned viewpoint Kalapatthar and Everest base camp.

Summiting the peak chance to experience typical Tibetan Sherpa culture with grandeur vision of snowy Himalayas including Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu and so on apart from sensation of expedition.

Trekking for Lobuche peak climbing begins from Lukla after heart throbbing flight from Kathmandu following the same Everest Base camp trekking trail up to Lobuche peak base camp passing several villages like Phakding, Namche, Dingboche, Ghorakshep and so on. 

Itinerary Overview

Day One:

 You will be warmly welcomed by our representative on Tribhuvan International Airport and transferred to hotel by private vehicle

Day Two:

After hair-raising flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airstrip, the trek begins heading to north from Lukla village trekking along the bank of Dudh Koshi river on gradually sloppy trail passing through Ghat villages to reach Phakding; beautiful village encircled by snowcapped peaks and settled by culturally graceful Sherpa people.

Day Three:

We cross Dudh Koshi river and walk on easy path for short duration up to Monjo and Jorsale then climb steep uphill catching first glimpse of Everest to arrive at Namche Bazaar. We can explore several village monasteries spreading message of love and peace through their fluttering prayer flags and in scripted stone walls on our way to Namche from Phakding.

Day Four:

Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization. It is recommended to have short day hike to Thame, Khumjung or Khunde for acclimatization.

Day Five:

We leave Namche moving on narrower and less paved path that runs through Kyangjuma, Sanasa and we cross long suspension bridges to reach Tangboche; tranquil village nestled on the backdrop of mountains. We explore old monastery Tangboche monastery, largest in the Khumbu region.

Day Six:

We leave Tyangboche following downhill trail till we cross bridge and climb for short duration to reach Pangboche; popular Sherpa village. Then, climb uphill from Pangboche passing numerous prayer in scripted rocks and having eye appealing vision of snow covered mountains including Everest to arrive at Pheriche.

Day Seven:

We climb gradually up to Dulgha where trail takes steep uphill till we reach memorial place. Then follow rocky path from memorial place with stunning views of Pumori, Tobuche, Ama dablam, Nuptse to arrive at Lobuche for overnight stay.

Day Eight:

We follow the upward path that runs along Khumbu glacier to reach Gorakshep; dry lakebed draped with sand then we access Kalapatthar at the height of 5500 meters from sealevel climbing steadily for two hours and have picturesque and 360-degree view of Everest and its neighbor peaks. Then trek down to Gorakshep for overnight stay.

Day Nine:

After five hours’ uphill trek to Everest Base Camp along the trail running through ice pinnacles and passing crevasses of Khumbu glacier and return trip to Ghorakshep retracing same route we move ahead to Lobuche from Ghorakshep for overnight stay.

Day Ten:

We trek on rocky flat trail about half way then climb steep uphill trail to reach Lobuche base camp. We can have majestic vision of snowy mountains like Cholatse, Tawache, Ama dablam, Pokalde and many more on the way to Lobuche base camp.

Day Eleven:

Rest at Lobuche base camp for acclimatization and make necessary preparation for summit.

Day Twelve:

We trek on rocky moraine path to reach high camp then trek on rock surface at beginning from high camp later summit the peak trekking on ice using rope according to necessity. And return to base camp after the summit.

Day Thirteen:

We proceed our journey following downhill trail that passes Duglha to arrive at Dingboche for overnight stay.

Day Fourteen:

We trek slightly down to reach Deboche then climb uphill for twenty minutes to reach Tyangboche. We pass several villages such as Pangboche, Shomare on the way to Tyangboche for overnight stay.

Day Fifteen:

We proceed our journey moving on steeply downhill trail and cross Dudh Koshi to reach Phungi Tenga and climb upward from Phungi Tenga to arrive at Namche Bazaar; historic trading hub renowned for its homemade yak cheese and butter.

Day Sixteen:

We have pleasant trek to Lukla from Namche bazaar via Monjo consuming about six hours.

Day Seventeen:

Return flight to Kathmandu from Lukla peeping snowy mountains and green scenery from windows of plane

Day Eighteen:

We drive you to airport on the basis of your scheduled flight.

  • Domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu. The flight charge from Kathmandu to Lukla and back from Lukla to Kathmadnu is US$ 190 per person for foreigner (for a round trip) and US$ 70 per Nepali staff (for a round trip)

Cost Excluded

  • Climbing permit fee:
  1. US$ 350 for the group upto 4 people
  2. US$ 350 + US$ 40 for the group of 1 to 5 people in a group
  3. Apart from the climbing fee you have to pay US $ 300 as Sirdar's climbing and equipment fees. This is as per the rule of NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association).
  • Deposit for Garbage Disposal fee is US$ 250 per peak for the group (this deposit is refundable to you after the completion of climb)

Food

You would be offered breakfast, nepali meal at homestay during time at Kathmandu while on trekking you would be provided Nepalese meals three times a day whereas during climbing fresh, hygienic food in terms of water and cooking method would be provided.  

Accomodation

You would be accommodated at Nagarjun home stay with services of hot water, western toilets, electricity, television, free WIFI during Kathmandu stay whereas offered to stay at teahouses with facilities granted by teahouses during trek and you would be offered accommodation on along with sleeping bag and foam mattress during expedition.
