Botanical tour and monastery trek on Langtang National Park instigating from Syabrubesi and moving through majestic forests of Langtang valley to the green meadows around Kyangjin Gompa, best trek near Kathmandu valley to relinquish exhaustion and chaos indulging on panoramic vision of snowclad mountains like Himal Chuli 7864m, Manaslu 8163 meters and to mingle with local habitants of forty villages ingrained in Tibetan lifestyle, culture, and religion.

Langtang National Park, 60 kilometers north of Kathmandu valley covering a total area of 1710 square kilometers at an elevation from 792 meters Bhotekoshi to 7245 meters Langtang Lirung gasps prominent feature of forest type that embraces a vast range of flora and fauna, wild animals and diverse species, as several bird species migrate to Gosainkund for temporary haven.

Langtang National Park also renowned for Gosainkund, a sacred lake generated by Lord Shiva piercing glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst.

Itinerary Overview

Day 01: Arrival at the airport

You will be warmly welcomed by our representative at Tribhuwan International Airport. Then you will be transferred to the hotel by private vehicle.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Dhunche drive

Langtang trek begins with 8 hours drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche heading to the north along the road on the bank of Trisuli river. You can go either by public bus or private vehicle but private vehicles are safe and highly recommended.  

Day 03: Dhunche to Sing Gompa  

You reach Chandan Bari or Sing Gompa ascending the trekking path along with the villages, jungles, mountains with the captivating vision of panoramic mountains Langtang Lirung, Paldor peak, Tibetan ranges consuming 4 hours. You can get an experience of Buddhist culture on monasteries in Chandan Bari, Melamchigaon, TarkeGhyang and many more.

Day 04: Sing Gompa to Gosainkund

You move from Sing Gompa to Gosainkund on five hours’ trek at an altitude of 4360 meters with a spellbinding vision of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu. Finally, the trail descends to pious three lakes Saraswati, Bhairavkund, and Gosainkund; sacred lake created by lord Shiva piercing glacier with his trident to quench the thirst.

Day 05: Gosainkund to Ghopte passing Lauribinayak la

You pass through the zigzag route of rural area to ascend Laurebina la, the highest point of the trek at an elevation of 4610 meters with seducing snow spilling views of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal as well LangtangLirung while trekking from Gosainkund to Ghopte. Then you descend steeply for rich Natural vegetation area Ghopte.

Day 06: Ghopte to MelamchiGaon via Tharepati pass

You head from Ghopte via Tharepati pass moving through the trail that descends slightly at the beginning and later ascends until you reach Tharepati. Then, your trek moves descending order across rhododendron, oak and juniper forests to cherish on the beauty of MelamchiGaon encircled by green forest and inhabited by culturally adorned Sherpa community.

Day 07: MelamchiGaon to Tarkeghyang

You trek downhill path until you cross Melamchi, then climb uphill passing Sherpa settlements to arrive at Tarkeghyang at an altitude of 2743 meters for overnight stay.

Day 08: Tarkeghyang to Shermathang

You leave Tarkeghyang moving along a flat and comfortable trail that crosses beautiful forests and numerous small streams on the way to find yourselves on Shermathang, taking around five hours. You can relish on a cozy environment of Sherpa people exhibited through warm welcome and humble nature.

Day 09: Shermathang to Melamchipul Bazaar to Kathmandu

You walk gently down from Shermathang passing through fabricated green meadows and cultivated fields with eye sanctifying glimpse of traditionally and culturally adorned villages to reach MelamchiPul Bazaar for the return drive to Kathmandu.

Day 10: Return Flight

We drive you to the airport on the basis of your scheduled flight.

Food

No meals are included on the cost but our staff and guide will help you get access to the best restaurants and hotels in Kathmandu and also help you get access to good organic and healthy meals during your trek. Our sister Agency Everest Trekkers Fuel is also the sole provider of freeze-dry trekking and climbing meals and can be provided to you with small Additional Cost.

Accomodation

You would recommend you accommodated at Nagarjun homestay with facilities of hot water, western toilets, electricity, television, free WIFI during Kathmandu stay. And recommend you to stay at teahouses with facilities granted by teahouses during a trek. But the cost does not include any accommodation. Our guide and staff will help you to get access to the best accommodation at the budget value.
